In the splendid setting of Villa Erba in Cernobbio, on Lake Como, Manifattura del Seveso celebrated its first 100 years of life in the presence of over 300 guests, including one hundred from abroad. The event took place in two different locations. Inside the park, where the international exhibition and congress center is located, the institutional part of the initiative took place. The CEO Franco Bologna intervened immediately after an emotional video on the events of the company, tracing the story of four generations leading this reality, a leader in the production of technical fabrics, including those used in publishing for the communication and packaging of luxury. The long journey of life of this company, a symbol of Italian entrepreneurship, is remembered in a splendid hardcover book of the 310×265 size, weighing 3.5 Kg, of 245 pages in 170 gram hand-sized paper, naturally with a canvas cover , also seen in canvas and 10 laminated boards in Cialux fabric, Mds brand leader in the market of coatings for editions.
The book, produced for the occasion, was donated to all the participants at the end of the evening.
In the presence of the Minister of Education Valeria Fedeli, Franco Bologna has also rewarded three important professionals who have contributed to the history of this enterprise, the past president Pierfrancesco Bologna, Gianni Maccabelli and Francesco Vaia (pictured).
The guests then moved to the splendid rooms of the villa, which belonged to Luchino Visconti, where they had the opportunity to spend pleasant moments of entertainment, enlivened by live music and an extensive menu, with the closing of the inevitable cake of the cent ‘years.
